Fujifilm X70 in Peru: Lake Titicaca

Lake Titicaca, the favorite place name of all middle school boys, was the perfect location to finish our Peru holiday. My son and I spent a glorious sunny day on the lake, visiting a Uros reed island, exploring Taquille Island, and learning about the history and culture from our Amantani Isle guide.

But first we had to get there. We spent 10 hours on a large tour bus transiting from Cusco to Puro. This was out first experience on a large but as all our previous tours were semi-private and included no more than six other people. While not my preferred mode of travel, it did get up from point A to B with interesting stops and sites along the way.

"Dad with a camera" is sometimes too much.

Yes, I had to make him stand in front of something

My moment of pure bliss

This is the final image in my Peru series. We sat for lunch and I ordered a Cusquena (Peruvian beer). Local bread was served in a wooden bowl, as I sat with my son overlooking Lake Titicaca to the snow capped mountains of Bolivia in the distance. What a beautiful world upon which we live.
